Following the tussle between Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD) and Remki, the company entrusted with door to door collection of garbage, the company has finally started the service. The company would launch the service in seven wards- Vasant Vihar, Indranagar, Panditvadi, Seemadwar, Kavli, Vijay Park and Balupur- twice a day. As per the information, there are around 6200 families living in these seven wards
The municipal commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey said, “The door to door collection has started in the seven wards on a trial basis. The service would start in 23 wards from February 16. From March 31, door to door collection would start in 60 wards
The project head of Remki Mohit Diwedi said, “We would do the door to door garbage collection service in seven wards now. Our first priority is to update the service in 60 wards. Thereafter, it would start in the newly added wards as well
